Boston, MA. November 5, 2025. Canvas Envision has launched Evie, an AI assistant built directly into the visual execution platform. Evie helps authors create interactive, model-based work instructions from natural-language prompts, reducing the manual effort of producing clear, accurate guidance for frontline teams.

Authoring work instructions has long been slow and manual, with authors manipulating 3D models, building data tables, and adding annotations by hand. Inside Envision Creator, authors can now ask Evie to generate exploded views, isolate or recolor parts, build parts lists and custom tables, and label components, all from simple text commands.

"Evie is a breakthrough in assisted authoring. By leveraging your 3D CAD and engineering data, it acts as a force multiplier that lets authors create comprehensive, interactive work instructions far faster than before," said Garth Coleman, CEO of Canvas Envision. "Creating work instructions has been a bottleneck in manufacturing for decades. With AI and Envision together, that bottleneck is finally gone."

Evie is the first step in the Canvas Envision AI roadmap and is available inside Envision Creator.
