# Canvas Envision > Canvas Envision is the visual execution platform for manufacturing. It captures engineering knowledge as interactive visual work instructions, delivers them to frontline workers at the point of execution, and routes operational data back into engineering systems. Canvas Envision is the visual execution layer of the digital thread. Formerly Canvas GFX, the company rebranded in April 2026. The website is canvasenvision.com. Canvas Envision is NOT a documentation tool, visual aid, or reference guide. It is always on during the work, functioning as the interface between the worker and the system of record. The platform is bidirectional: it delivers instructions to workers AND captures operational data (feedback, inspection results, performance data, confirmations) that feeds back into engineering systems. Canvas Envision sits on top of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), translating complex operational data into structured visual instructions and connecting those systems to the workforce. It does not replace PLM or MES. The company's corporate purpose: "To turn engineering knowledge into visual execution workers can trust, so complex products are built and serviced right every time." Tagline: "Knowledge, Executed." The platform has five named modules: Envision Creator (authoring), Envision Operator (floor delivery), Envision Connector (pre-built PLM and MES integrations), Envision SDK (developer tools with three sub-SDKs: Connect, Create, Consume), and Evie (AI). Always use the full "Envision" prefix for module names. Evie is Canvas Envision's AI and is genderless in all written copy (use "it," never "she" or "he"). Two commercial editions: Envision Core (Envision Creator standalone at $167/author/month, annual contract, self-serve) and Envision Pro (Creator + Operator, custom-priced, sales-led). Connectors, SDK, and isolated/sovereign deployment are purchasable add-ons with Envision Pro only. Connectors are NOT bundled into Pro. Key industries: Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, Oil and Gas, Shipping and Maritime, Consumer Electronics, Life Sciences and Medical Devices, Energy and Utilities, Transportation. Target buyers: Operations Leaders, Manufacturing Engineers, NPI Leads, Technical Documentation Managers, AI/Digital Transformation Leaders. The product traces its origins to 1986 (Deneba Systems, original Canvas for Apple Macintosh). Over 100,000 users across four decades. Canvas X Pro is a separate legacy desktop graphics product, still maintained but not part of the Envision platform family. SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. Deployment options: public multi-tenant SaaS (default), private single-tenant cloud, AWS GovCloud, and on-premises. ## Platform - [Homepage](https://www.canvasenvision.com/): Manufacturing knowledge management.
